Let the Sky Fall Into Your Mouth

Social Band Sings to Food and Drink

Social Band, Burlington’s lively band of singers, dedicates its fall program to food and drink, both literal and metaphorical. The program features songs and poetry about sustenance, refreshment and indulgence – as well as the joys of companionship around the table and our gratefulness for the nourishment we are given and share with others. Join Social Band as we bring our distinctive brand of choral performance to the delights of food and drink and “let the sky fall into our mouths.”

Musical Reflections on food and drink

In honor of the food, Social Band will sing everything from Renaissance polyphony by Tomas Luis de Victoria and Francisco Guerrero to folk and bluegrass tunes. As always, Social Band brings its characteristic “joie de vivre” to this program – combining powerful singing, food for thought and our collective sparkling personality.
