From the Composers

Social Band is fortunate to have several composers among our singers, as well as a strong network of composers across Vermont that regularly write new music for us. It is a special and invigorating experience to be part of someone’s process as they bring new music into being.

Fall 2025: Patricia Julien, jazz flutist, composer, and Social Band alto, set the words of Kelly Q. Anderson to music for a new piece “A Museum of Childhood”. She explains her process in a series of videos, below:
